RadioLink
The Radio Link is a radio system for transmission of data between two positions by radio instead of cable. A Radio Link in the context of the RadioPlan API is a RadioNet of type PointToPoint with two Radio Link terminals and Radio System set to RadioLink.
Typical features of radio links include dedicated radio terminals equipped with directional antennas aimed at each other, enabling high‑bandwidth data transmission.
The Radio Link lines functionality is controlled by the IMariaRadioPlanLayer.IRadioLinkLines interface.
The Radio Link is represented as a split line:
- One half indicates whether the source (from) terminal can reach the target (to) terminal.
- The other half indicates whether the target (to) terminal can reach the source (from) terminal.
Settings for Radio Link Lines
| Property | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Threshold | Decibel | Defines the signal strength threshold to determine whether a radio link connection is considered valid or not. |
| HasConnectionColor | Color | Line color for connectivity between two rl terminals (above or equal to threshold). |
| NoConnectionColor | Color | Line color for no connectivity between two rl terminals (below threshold). |
| HasNoSignalLevelColor | Color | Line color when unable to determine signal level for the rl terminals. |
| LineThickness | double | Line thickness for the rendered lines |
Radio Link Profile View
The radio link profile view shows the direct line-of-sight path between the two terminals (yellow line) and the fresnel zone. It is possible to show building information in the profile, clutter information and coverage in the bottom line of the profile. Additional information about the radio link terminals are shown on the right hand side. Additional information is shown when selecting a position
